There are probably many many good reasons why I should NOT post about “our new lake home” that is not “ours” but feels like “ours” because we are soooo close…closing only a few weeks away.
Here she is!
Built in the 60’s this brick ranch is perched up on a bit of a hill, with a nice bit of property behind.
Old Hickory peaking out to the left…
And to the right.
Batton and board, I really like.
View from the top of deck. Many trees, lots of yard. View will be inhibited a bit when the leaves come in. No worries.
Lots of plans.
The corp line comes up pretty far into the property, which inhibits what we can do permanently beyond the line. However we are thinking right up to the line, a nice big fire pit will sit perfectly in this basin.
Perfect spot right there!
This deck needs work…it really wants to be a screened in porch.
A little bigger than she is currently.
Hot tub heading out.
Big property drop here. Hoping to extend stone patio out a ways, and create a gradual drop to the fire pit area.
Here is our view from the dock. Sitting on the main channel, across from the sail boat marina.
Flanked by two beautiful homes, we are stoked by the potential.
Kevin, ready to purchase a Gator, first toy on the property.
Granted it is a bit of a walk.
Just a few snaps to tease and share with you how thrilled we are by the possibilities. I am apologizing now, as IG and the blog will be full of plans and schemes and ideas that will ebb and flow and change many times, I am sure.
But that is part of my process.
Dream. Scheme. Design. Re design. Plan.
Out of it all will surface something coherent.
But the journey and process is really my favorite part of design. It is here that I learn the most.
Hope you enjoy the ride!
