We love Nashville. Truly. So many places to eat, shop, hang. So much happening all the time, and not just on Broadway! I have several emails from local friends listing all the places we gotta try. I buy Nashville Magazine, FULL of reviews and suggestions of places to experience (it will take many lots of years to cover all this ground, we however are up to the challenge-we will keep you all–y’ll in the loop). Pinewood Social is recommended consistently. Here’s why: side note: my office for the day..I digress.
Sweet vintage bowling lanes. Only four, reservations recommended. Lighting by Southern Lights Electric. Side note: they are making similar pieces for a project I am helping with in Charlotte. Oooh that will be fun to share with you all y’all y’ll?!
Fantastic bar, fairly large, hear it is packed on weekends. Owners, also brothers, Benjamin and Max Goldberg ( Strategic Hospitality) are the brains behind Merchants on Broadway and Patterson House, another very beloved nightspot in Nashville–Kevin and I checked it out awhile back…Dark and Stormy + fresh doughnuts. We will be back.
During the day, lots of space to eat, meet and work. Public and private spaces available. I got there pretty early on a weekday, and by 8:30ish, it was really hoppin. Love the vibe here. Creative playlists change daily and are chosen by the staff which really makes for a vibrant place to sit and work, create and connect.
Love the Suzani.
So, I have an issue. Well, issues, but here I will address one: Chairs. Love em.
Maybe because they are a smaller investment in terms of furniture, more affordable to reupholster, easily moved, small footprint BUT can change, pretty significantly, the feel of a space. Or, maybe I just have an issue. I am a VERY good rationalizer. Ask Kevin. He tells me with great consistency I can justify both sides of any given situation, dilemma, argument, you name it. A gift, I know. This is a great piece of furniture! May ask if they need it..I could find them a replacement?!
Comfy cozy private nook with great exposed brick + wallpaper. Great chandelier, you will love it, but it unintentionally was edited out as I tried to fit it into the post. Big learning curve.
LOVE the DIY here! I am not very d-i-y-erish. I wish I were! Anything spray painted white easily makes something out of nothing…no offense to the winners of the trophies.
Issue number 2.
Keep Pinewood at the top of your list next time you and your loveys are looking for a place to chill and enjoy one another—
